In spite of couples achieving all these previously mentioned things and more there will be trouble in the marriage if both partners are not aware of the state of the finances or do not think that the finances are being adequately addressed. This can only be salvaged if both partners know the health of the finances and are convinced that the best is being done as related to the use of the marital funds.
Couples must find time to laugh and to play together. A quiet evening together, playing a board or electronic game, playing physical games, watching a movie or going to the beach can do wonders to help you to relax and get to know each other better.
